I like that the story isn’t being resolved by force, at least at the start. It’s kind of a tricky situation. Best-case would be to get this family to back down, find a middle-ground. Let the kid live his life in peace, leave his friends alone, and still owe that family something non-ruinous.

It's kinda very silly in my opinion. You would think all these people who care about him would just be upfront so he can somewhat be prepared rather than shocked but its all so we can have the usual misunderstanding subplot.

Having so many deep details makes the smooth head look out of place on the model, like it is wearing a wrinkley mask. Great work to whomever made it though.
