Dudes it’s bad writing that undercuts the central theme and unique premise. She literally does it to be “more lovable”. Don’t try to argue “but that’s real life” about a manga where a dude with an eating fetish hatches a Machiavellian plot involving blackmail and spy camera just to get a highschool girl to eat more junk food. Hell there was an entire character arc where a formerly fat girl loses weight to become more lovable and because a massive bitch because of it specifically to contrast the FemC learning to love herself instead and becoming a stronger person for it.

It is good that she got skinny. It is also good that others reacted so positively. I don't know if Japan had a body positivity equivalent, but a lot needs to be done to reverse that movement's effects. It's good to be accepting of a flaw if it is immutable. Burn victims and amputees should be treated with respect as fellow hoomans. But it is bad to not just tolerate, but glorify something as dangerous as fatness. It is another vector through which gramscians have subverted our institutions, and we must restore them. Glorifying the inverse is a step towards restoration. It is not an achievement to become fat. It is an achievement to become skinny. Because of that, the glory of skinniness must be made greater so that people are more willing to work towards it.

The premise of this manga isn't "fat people need love too", which it looks like you think is. It's that with confidence and people supporting you, you can change yourself into a better person. She already had friends, but no confidence. Once the ML came and liked her for herself, she was able to gain confidence, put in work, and become better.
