Perhaps, but why would that even be surprising? Half the fantasy stories we see on here are about the war between humans and nonhumans of whatever world. Maybe they're called demons, or beastmen, or whatever. They don't get along with humans and it's at least partly because humans are a bunch of twats more often than not.

Is Linette the one going Wha... on page 9? Also, was she preparing to cast a spell but was interrupted due to being surprised that Morris casted Ice Magic against the guards or did her spell enrage him so he'd do something crazy and distract the guards while she fled? I'm surprised she's so angry and shocked Morris blamed her for everything including his own actions considering the reason she worked with him was due to his corrupt personality and ugly emotions. After all, it'd be more surprising if he didn't deny all responsibility and say anything to save his own skin. In any case, seems demons feed on negative emotions and the city is in desperate need of better detection and methods towards demons. If MC wasn't there that undead hydra likely would've charged through the city and dungeon killing everyone in it's path since the guards weren't able to do anything about it.

In any case, Linnette really needs to brush her teeth more considering her bad breath was toxic enough to blow a hole clean through Morris. Bright side is that MC and co won't have to worry about him causing anymore trouble now that he's dead and his associates will disavow being involved with him due to him housing, working with and sleeping with a demon.
