Perhaps she's "feeler" for a now evil Edelweiss. It can't be a coincidence that after 10 years since Takeru got isekai'd, portals appeared in Japan. Sometime after Takeru's execution, Edelweiss turned to the dark side and is probably using these portals and Echidna and that loli in the earlier chapters to search for any trace of Takeru's soul or the like. And Echidna intoxicatedly smiling in this chapter probably hints a great of a news for their boss that they might hit a jackpot after 3 decades.

I know it's needed for pacing, but it always annoys me when the OP character is playing with enemies and lets them pull out their trump cards and shit for no reason. He doesn't need anything from them. He's in a locked space, with no witnesses, just go atomic on their asses with the first strike and go home.

if MC was a bullied otaku boy then sure, but he was clearly a 2000's bullied boy whose family probably wasn't that well-off for pc or consoles nor he was hinted to have hobbies like reading mangas or light novels. Just a bullied kid who really didn't have a drive in life due to bullying.

Probs majority if not, his entire fantasy knowledge came from the other world and that Hydra might've not been a monster he encountered in his journey. So let's cut him slack on that one.

The logic of "I haven't encountered a monster with true immortality therefore it doesn't exist" is incredibly flawed and I hate that the mc says it like he's the smartest guy in the world. Sure, act like a know-it-all if you actually know shit, but he even says he hasn't seen this monster before at the start!
