This is what I was asking you about, how is fighting piracy related to Mangadex@crazybars posted:
What can Mangadex do hosting Light Novels Baka Tsuki doesn't already do, especially if it's to fight piracy. . . .?

The idea is intriguing to me, to be honest. We have several ideas that we'd like to see pan out (including @Ixlone's pretty amazing drama CD project) after the release of v4 of MD, which the devs are hard at work on in the background whenever they have the spare time.
To be honest, in continuing our overarching mission of stamping out profitable piracy, I wouldn't have a problem with disrupting group monopolies over content. But that's a story for another day and I suspect staff would have to spend quite some time crafting rules that wouldn't piss *everybody* off.
Pretty sure when Zeph said "profitable piracy" he was talking about keeping the content paywalled, not about shutting down licensed works or working against piracy in general. I don't know why you would assume our stance on light novel piracy would suddenly be a complete 180 from our stance on manga piracy, licensed works or otherwise.@crazybars posted:
Isn't. . . . that Zephy very clearly stating the goal is stamping out profitable piracy aka discouraging paid piracy? Did... I misread that one as not an objective? It seemed pretty clear to me.
