Well... I understand that... but I'm explaining why she isn't in the wrong and he's the weird one and why he can't just cut her off.That's just assuming absolute realism, most of the works with similar relationships end up in romance rather than the realistic approach like this one, tho tbh in this one you can get the vibes that it wasn't going to be like that but the author can do whatever they want so it's never zero really.
Even if he gets with her, it's solely due to plot and not because they'd logically get together...
