Update. LT re-uploaded all his translations on MangaDex under the username Nuoer, but without using a group name. My guess is that he's trying to avoid another thread like this one starting in there.




The weird thing is that he decided to take out the Ko-hi banner, which is still on his Bato uploads, and instead put in a BiliBili disclaimer.



I tried to reverse image search it but couldn't find anything similar. Did he make this himself, or is this a common disclaimer by BiliBili? I'm not familiar with BiliBili at all, so I'd appreciate if someone could clarify.

But, reading it in detail, it makes absolutely no sense for this to be on a fan translation. The feck does it mean to be "for informational purposes"? If this disclaimer were to be true, then the one breaking the law is first and foremost LT, since I highly doubt he got written permission from the author to post this translation (which is what would be shown instead of this disclaimer) on a public site, which is definitely not "for personal purposes".

Another weird thing he added is a chapter 22.5, which doesn't exist on the original BiliBili publication.



I even installed the Chinese spyware just to check that it's not an app exclusive thing.

Considering that it says "Participate by [Donating]!", is he trying to pass this as some sort of official translation so that people donate to him? On MangaDex he put the disclaimer that says this isn't an official translation, but on Bato all the chapters (except for 22.5, like in MangaDex) still have his Ko-hi banner. Also, people mostly gloss over disclaimers, so they may not even understand what it was about and only read the pretty pictures on 22.5.

Is donating on BiliBili even possible? There are paid chapters, but is there an official way to simply donate?

I find all this suspicious as hell.

So, if I had to guess, LT is still trying to milk as much money as possible from this series, basically starting a scam. Not sure why he made the decision to post to MangaDex with the disclaimer, though. Really confusing.

Im guessing its not LT since someone did infact ask if they could reupload all of LT's work. Since LT seems to be the type of guy to maximize profits, I doubt this guy on md is actually him.

BiliBili PAID chapters do actually have some legal bs written right after credit pages

The very bottom line it says:
"Any form of reproduction/redistribution of this work is prohibited. Once discovered, legal actions will be taken"
(Stole this off of a random paid comic chapter, but all paid chapters have it)
But yeah, the 2nd half of the 2nd paragraph is complete made-up bs and same for the 3rd like dude you just said not to redistribute this work and you just did with an mtl ver.

Okay so that page is actually part of the end of every single chapter of the series lol. Its for chinese readers only so idk why tf he would advertise/translate it. Like if ur gonna tl it at least show people how to go on bilibili and show how to get these stuff yk.

In bilbili, most manhuas have special art / uncensored scenes behind a paywall for mobile only users. To get those special art, you ussally have to donate(yes donate since thats what its actually called in chinese) M-Coins (bilbili currency) or buy a volume of the series. Idk why he even translated something that isnt even for the english-speaking community.

Ah, I see. Didn't think to check one of the free chapters since I assumed it would be the same but in Chinese. This reminds me that the Chinese translations of hentai manga tend to have a lot of ads at the end, so I guess that's just a Chinese thing.

I highly doubt the mass dump was done by anyone other than LT. The uploader name is of his rebrand. The motive is probably exactly what you said, to discourage you. I wouldn't be surprised with how he has acted so far.

But fine, let's entertain the idea that the uploader wasn't LT. Why create an account with the name of a rebrand from LT? The uploader on Bato isn't even Nuoer, but XiaoGuang. If you're going to remove the Ko-hi banner, the only place that leads to the name "Nuoer", why re-upload it under that name instead of "XiaoGuang"? It makes no sense. I'd ask @Nuoer, but he probably doesn't exist on the forum.

The only mystery left is the reason for the switch from the Ko-hi banner to the disclaimer. What does that accomplish? It's especially weird since this is only for MangaDex and not for Bato.

By the way, as I'm writing this, chapters 22 and 22.5 were deleted.



I think he's just taking the piss at this point.

Yep, studios do try their best to promote their other works in order to gain money, especially if the series is similar to what they're promoting.
