I thought the blind tactician could use magic and was the one who made the barrier to protect from Falita's magic when she and her brother was attacking MC's city so how can she be orderless? In any case MC should've changed out of the maid outfit before investigating as it's a clear sign how he got out. Also, maid could be punished and blamed for him getting out along with helping him even if she was knocked out. After all, seems like opinion and prejudice are almost as highly rated as evidence and she's someone easy to blame and vent on. Especially since King had his daughter whipped in public and imprisoned just for having a note on a handkerchief.
