Really liked this chapter. Explained a lot of minor stuff I had on my mind like how they dealt with the gatekeeper and why didn't revived slaves just de-organ themselves. The answer being they could've if they had someone to cooperate with but otherwise it was in a hard to reach place and the dogs might get to them before that.

Guess the old man went back cause civilization is lame but I now I wonder why he eventually fell. Seems like something must've happened

Sorry to bother but I'm lost on something. Maybe it was already explained before but when people die, like the slaves, don't they "respawn" in the same initial beach? I don't understand how we never saw the dogs back there. Or how they get past the guard to get the slaves once they reborn. If you have a theory I would love to hear it

Not sure if it was implied or stated, but I think they got a checkpoint once they've passed the gate.

Something must have happened to the old man to speed up his transformation. We see now around 10 years prior he looked pretty fine and his friend here didn't look much more progressed than he currently is. The old man was taking care of the little girl for around 10 years too and looked about how he did when he found his friend. So in those 10 years even tho he was looking after the little girl he progressed much faster to an endman in that time
