Looking back on those times I believed in Santa, I think it's kinda silly. Imagine being a parent who works all day, just making ends meet but you managed to save up enough to get something your child wanted. But now because he/she believes in Santa, all those feelings of happiness and appreciation is directed towards someone who doesn't exist. Granted, you shower your child with love (I hope to God you do) every other day but with how most of the world blows up Christmas as a really big event, giving away all that effort to a fictional person in one of the biggest holidays feels counter-productive.
