Also, why are people freaking out about the king being able to get/ do whatever he wants? If we are going to follow the time setting and culture of the story then i guess it is safe to assume that king=absolute power = whatever he says is law and he is above anyone else. Also, we dont follow the same moral compass as them. There is a clear line between the royalty and common people. It sucks but rich people can do whatever they want to the commoner and can still more or less get away from it. Yes, that includes harassment (or borderline sexual harassment lol)..
