this isn't really a relevant response. dude isn't saying you can't think but complaining to the ether isn't really "thinking critically" and thinking critically is absolutely not synonymous with complaining.
basically, a critical discussion is different from just listing things you don't like and it can be annoying to see a bunch of complaints on stuff you like. it's a fairly normal response. just like dropping something you just have a list of complaints about is a fairly normal response lol
This would be valid if the complaints in this comment section were just "wow this sucks", but that's not the case. Despite your intentional slip of swapping "thinking" with "discussion" in order to get a point across, the people in this comment section has listed what the issues are with this series and/or this chapter, which does involve looking at a piece of media objectively. They are still complaints at the end of the day, but they are very valid complaints (whether or not they explained it well is another discussion). Just going "waaah people don't like what I like" is not a valid complaint.
As far as it being a normal response, I'll relate my response back into my original comment. If you like to just read things without putting too much thought into it, purely out of time wasting, sure, I guess that response can be normal. To people that like to look at things objectively, we tend to want to know
why someone doesn't like what we like, and even if their response is valid, we can normally go "Yes I see that, but to me that wasn't much of an issue", or, "That's true, but I still like it." For instance, I really love the movie Reign of Fire. Movie has a lot of issues, but I still enjoy it, and if someone were to bring up those issues, I would respond in one of those two ways.
