People who review this thing below an 8... simply haven't read it past the first 5 chapters. Yes, it has a cliché premise (a very, very cliché one actually), but the way that this author executes that premise in a truly original way at least deserves some admiration. Well developed characters with motivations that are actually presented, a main character that is overpowered without feeling like a Gary Stu, and a genuine sense of mystery regarding the world combine to create a solid reading experience. It's one of the best fantasy stories I've read in a while, that's for sure, although it's not exactly perfect, as the premise can turn some self-proclaimed "manga-virtuosos" off of this otherwise rock-solid story. One thing though- why does this even have a romance tag? The romance in this story exists, but can't even be considered as a subplot; far from being the focus of the story, it isn't even a focus, so what the hell?
