If she was lying to protect Silica nothing would have happened, but if she truly had confessed her plan to have Silica defeated she had her retribution coming, despite the rules of the court.

But isn't the prosecution accidentally causing humiliating scenes because they refuse to accept reality a running gag in this story? I seem to remember Lemon humiliating herself by zapping away her clothes and pissing herself from drinking an aphrodisiac.

Knowing well what could have happened. And the reasoning was "it's a prosecutor duty to know uncover the truth".
Following the same logic Chocolat would have sprayed it on herself, especially considering that she is able to fight and she subdued easily the monster chicken. But most importantly there was no reason to spray it on someone to begin with. Just making the chicken smell it would have been enough to make it go crazy.
So yeah, that was totally on purpose.

While this means that regular civilians can basically do anything to magical girls, the fact this was inserted in during the trial suggests there's more to it than that. I suspect this rule can go both ways, or there is some loophole Silica can use.

I am willing to admit that I could be overthinking this , but this manga just screams fetishes.

I was about to make the argument that Chocolat is a different prosecutor, the humiliations would be different. Especially, since Chocolat seemed to have a grudge against Yuuri for Lemon and the prosecution always losing.

Then I rechecked Chocolat's panel when she made that accusation. Although her speech bubbles were white, her entire panel was blacked out. I am willing to agree with you on this.

When you're an xkcd fan, the reality of physical things is far more enjoyable than any fetishes, well not enjoyable,
but detailing the gruesome injuries a fictional character should have suffered is quite entertaining nonetheless!
Case in point, I return with more than just educated guesswork! the egg that was forced through her stomach valve definitely would've resulted in lethal internal injuries as neither stomach valve can widen enough to let even a regular sized chicken egg through without tearing👍
