@sweet-potato As sad as her attitude is, I don't think it's entirely unreasonable or just an innate lack of self esteem. I can only imagine what it would be like to need to hide and lie about being married, but feel that it'd be humiliating. Even when someone has close friends and family to support them, when the whole rest of the world is against them it can still feel suffocating.

and the noble would have needed someone else to begin with so its probably a little coop between a jealous mage and an entitled noble in heat
well im a tiny bit surprised because of the timeline/secrecy as she wasnt even officialy introduced untill after the nightmare starts but then again it shouldnt have been impossible to find it out before
