I think this is one of the coolest chapters in the whole manga. The "dialogue" between artist and portrait, the story between the demons in the painting so vivid that it's like they are real demons just confined in a frame, the little details...just great

It's neat how, with the black and white medium, Sylvia being covered with splotches and smears of paint is basically indistinguishable from how blood and bruises would appear. It really highlights how this is Sylvia's battle, and it the effect wouldn't be the same in color—unless Galna wears a lot of red or something.
