More likely we're going to see it pay off after a bit of timeskip. Or he'll get another scala that can apply to his current level for the next tier up, because as I recall they said that there's a scala for each rank advanced, now.

What I meant was that, as Mephisto pointed out, the decision on Iruma's promotion should have been entirely with him. Henry circumvented that authority with an official appeal, blatantly breaking the rules he should uphold (and creating a precedent for future Scalas).

By all means Iruma passed the exam and should have been promoted (we all know that Mephisto's explanation given to the kids is just an excuse; it was Iruma's task to give the Many Ears a shelter and instate a king, both of which he did; if anything he surpassed the expected results by also providing them an alternative means to sustain themselves). It is Henry's job (literally) to deal with the aftermath. However that is not what happened, so if Border patrol can appeal the exam decision (after messing up said exam themselves!) then the exam is pointless.

So until the carrot harvest becomes profitable, Iruma remains with rank 5.5 and it is possible that Iruma will move to rank 6 after the carrot harvest reaches x amount of profit.

And in order for Mephisto to keep Iruma informed, he decided to move to Iruma's estate, transporting his own house.

And I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Azz-kun asked his mother to build him a cabin on Iruma's estate just to watch over Mephisto so he doesn't steal Iruma.

Season 4 is gonna be peak if they're gonna adapt the entire music festival arc.

Thing is though the entire season would be a musical heavy arc since its basically Demons Got Talent, I know that they did musicals back in the earlier seasons but I'm more excited with how they'll adapt the different performances, especially the Red Carpet.

This season will either make or break the studio and I sure hope its the former than the latter

the chapter of the big talk between Purson and Iruma made went from this series is really good to holy crap this is peak.

I think it isn't pointless, Mephisto understood that the Border Patrol normally doesnt appeal in fact Henry personally appealed means something and he understands BUT it also gave them an opportunity. Henry can dig around for dissenters and Mephisto can learn more about Iruma and maybe even guide his capabilities further as he did with the many ears. His role as an advisor is informally coming back ever since Delkira went missing and he's waaaaay too excited for this LOL while also following the "third path philosophy"

While it is true that it is still Henry's job to take care of things, promote Iruma to rank 6 RIGHT NOW is like SCREAMING to the whole demon world: "HEY! LOOK AT THIS KID! THE WHOLE MANY EARS INDEPENDENCE THING IS HIS WORK!" That will put Iruma at the front line, literally. While Mephisto is willing to fight the war, can you 100% sure that there will be no harm done to Iruma?

That's why Henry propose the postponement. He never once said that Iruma can't rank up, all he's suggesting is that give him time to make sure nothing bad is gonna happen, then we can let Iruma rank up and receive his due credits.
