$20 says next Chapter will be called Side c and will focus on her evil cult and what she’s doing for them while all this is happening
Pay up my devifriend, as the next chapter blurb on last page says it will be about Clara.

I really thought Side B would be about the six fingers, but this Side B is not bad at all.

I wonder if they'll ever reveal Opera's sex. First time I see an adult Schrodinger's trap archetype.

Huh. Alright thats definitely a weird choice then. Why have a side an and b on a chapter about a spy and not have it be about her two different lives? That said, I’ll never complain about a Clara chapter. It’s been too long

It's possible that the other teachers on the first page didn't invite Opera because they think Opera would be antisocial, the 4 teachers don't know if Opera would drink alcohol and Opera also doesn't live in the teachers' dorm.

And I would like for example Shida to betray Baal and the terrorist organization the 6 fingers, which would be very satisfying. Compared to this example, namely Shida betraying Iruma, which would be very painful.

Murmur vs Shida or Murmur+Shida. The choice is yours.

Nishi has shown herself as an author to be very friendly to gender and sexual ambiguity. One of our main 3 characters is either very gay, very trans, or very both.

Opera is an ode to non-binary gender norms. Schroedinger's Catdemon is their gender. Even if their bio gender is revealed, (my guess is biologically female, just from the art,) Opera will almost certainly still be a 'They' rather than a 'He' or 'She'.

(One of the starting points of 'Ichi the Witch', also written by Nishi-sensei, is 'Only females can be witches', to which the main character says 'NOPE.' I don't mark that as a spoiler simply because it's the title of the manga.)

Tysm WingZeroHeeroYuy!

Somehow I could picture Murmur as Lied and the vibe would still fit perfectly 😆

Everyone else may let their guard down a little, but Kalego and Dali are unlikely to. His long pause after hearing Murmur out means that, imo, Dali decides to just observe and test Shiida when the time she has to choose between the school and her "ally" comes.

Poor Opera, I actually forgot that he's technically a teacher at the moment to help protect Iruma and the rest of the Misfits. Also, loved having a chapter that helps us to learn more about the other background teachers, it's like when Kalego brought up the existence of Purson and we all had got to realize that someone that looked to be a mob character to fill out the Misfit's classroom was an actual plot relevant being. Man I love this series.
*they’re (I catch myself with that all the time. It waffles around between he and she depending, but I find it hard to stick in my head)

But yeah, ditto to those things you said.
This manga rules.

Canonically nonbinary.
Says it in their bio. Wasn’t translated.

Yeah, that.

We’re an asexual character away from all the most common letters.
(for that we have
Hirano and Kagiura
. It’s BL but it’s what came to mind in my decaffeinated brain)

We also have an onee character (Poro) which I is analogous to two-spirit for the US in that it’s a regional thing I’m not at all qualified to explain.
Unqualified explanation: I just know that onee sometimes define themselves on a spectrum from “women on the inside” to “a man with some flair”. “Effeminate AMAB“ seems to be the basic standard? but what do I know? I’m just some old, American Jew from the Midwest.

Nishi when the big plot arches end: “uuuuh, ummm… FEMBOYS AND LESBIANS!”

I LOVE Vine-kun. Such a mood. Nebishy little queer sucker for a pretty face.
”GAAAAH! ANOTHER ATTRACTIVE MAN! I can’t take this!” (So me. Except with girls) Dude better get a real love interest at some point.

I mean, she got the okay by the teacher who's power is to literally psicoanalyze people, she won't betray Iruma right?...right?
Well her not betryaing Iruma and betraying Babyls/being a rebel against the current order of demon world could be separate things in her head, maybe she thinks she can safeguard Iruma while playing as a spy for Baal. Or who knows she might end up as a double agent because of Iruma's charisma checks.

AHHH I HAVE A THEORY! So, we don’t usually get to know much about specific characters until something about them comes into play later on. What if Murmur doubles as the school’s psychiatrist/counsellor and the misfits need counseling so he uses his ability on them? His ability lets him see people’s names, bloodline abilities, and other info, from what we saw during the heartbreaker, so I think professor Murmur will be the next character to find out Iruma is a human! Also, after all of that “You’re kind and understanding, for a demon” from Dali, it’s guaranteed that either he’s going to contribute to something big or is going to die soon, and I love him too much for him to die/the author doesn’t kill off characters.

THANK YOU FOR THE AMAZING CHAPTERRRR
Wait, crap you might be right about that, especially with the sudden detail of "oh Professor Murmur is less bloodthirsty than other demons. That would be a bit crazy because then he would have to hold the knowledge or even report it to border patrol because of the new law Narnia is trying to pass. Damn so we could get two stories suddenly colliding out of nowhere.
