The reason why I think it is the son, I can see him getting tempted to get an Advantage of Iruma without knowing what the real aim of whoever he is working with really is.

You probably forgot the manga introduced the other schools a long time ago since that was chapter 201. Definitely not out of nowhere.

I think Leiji and the other of the three grandsons of the Great 3 were introduced even long before that.

I was not expecting this kind of sharp right hand turn but I’m very curious to see how it’s gonna play out. Feels like this might be the kind of thing that pushes the plot forward And hints at the villains big bad evil plan, which I guess is to trigger every single demon s evil cycle at once to return the underworld to what it once was

That has some very interesting implications as it could give the students reason to need to fight their teachers. Assuming that the student somehow managed to avoid going evil cycle

I imagine it most likely is related to Baal's plan to have all demons "return to origin," as the whole concept of the evil cycle seems to be heavily connected to a demon's base instincts. These recent "evil cycles," seem much more severe than the cases of evil cycles that we've come to know (though we've really only seen ones activated by Balam's medicine I guess,) it's almost like someone is trying to make a lesser version of the metamorphosis that Behemolt was made to endure.

What do you mean out of nowhere? The other two schools were introduced alongside the introduction of the other two elders, potential chapters on the other schools have been something we've been waiting on for a while now.
