There's a possibility that it may loop back to the six fingers eventually. Balam learned to make a drug that induces an evil cycle, if the six fingers learn about this incident (and its reasonable to assume they have a spy or two at the other schools) they may get the idea to use the ink from the octopus to make a knockoff version of their own.

Oh 100% they have at least have two spies lurking in all three of the different schools. We already know that Atori and Shiida were tasked with Babyls, who’s to say the other four aren’t at the other two Great’s schools which they are active principals for. We just haven’t seen them too often because unlike Atori, they probably have been really good at staying in the background.

I mean, it'd still be better narratively if this is connected to the main plot in some way, but, as another has noted, I do like the idea that this incident wasn't directly caused by the 6 fingers, it just leads them to a new option to further their plans and possibly a new demon to use in the one teacher.

So many events so far haven't involved them. I wonder if the author realizes that a lot of people don't want them to ruin our casts good times.

I am guessing the next arc will be with them though. It is time, unless it will go to the gambling school to "introduce" the other option.

So to recap, we got Iruma who has a bow and arrow, Leiji has a gun, might mean that Razz is a throwing knife or throwing card because his grandpa is a gambler and his ties with General Furfur who’s known to be a gambler of sorts.

kinda peak how from Chapter 388 Page 11-12 ish Balam was already saying "there's something strange, it's too quiet"...

it's now half-solved as Balam also being affected by the air he breathes and making him a bit paranoid haha.. unless it's foreshadowing something else lurking in the shadows, but this partially answers that!

It's an interesting ability... it's the only bloodline ability that we've seen so far that uses a tool as a mediary. There's Jaz's rings, but those are training tools. I shudder to imagine if Leiji had free control over water- instead of having a sentient relationship of being adored by water.

Free manipulation of all fluids is legitimately one of the most overpowered abilities fathomable, And that's why in almost all cases writers have to nerf it by saying "oh no it can't manipulate water that's part of other creatures". Because if they don't, you can just immediately desiccate someone at will.

Katara from the Avatar series is a waterbender and Leiji from the Iruma-kun series is also a waterbender.

If Iruma has a bow and arrow, Leiji has a gun, but what kind of weapon could Razberry have?

Also, this possible arc was a very short one. Although something unexpected could happen.

Arknights has something similar to this. It was really terrifying because it was a child that accidentally killed her abusive dad who also killed her mom at the same time. The dad's body is shown (page 62) to be completely dried out.

Still possible that they sabotaged the tank to allow it to escape or broke it out and place it in the vents. But I'd rather that it is indeed just a self-contained arc not connected to the larger plot about the 6 fingers thingy.

it could be very well, connected, as what make the spontaneous evil cycles was that octopus, so prolly not the only one, it's highly likely the one buying or selling that teacher's "pets" is connected to the six fingers
