So many events so far haven't involved them. I wonder if the author realizes that a lot of people don't want them to ruin our casts good times.

I am guessing the next arc will be with them though. It is time, unless it will go to the gambling school to "introduce" the other option.

It's less about whether the 6 fingers are always involved with the main cast and more about the fact that this arc doesn't make much narrative sense if there isn't some connection to the future issues that are to come. Learning about another school is great and all, and I like spending time with Balam, but this is also too distantly related from the main plot for it to not be bad narrative direction to not have tie ins to what is happening behind the scenes with Baal's group or another organization that is soon to be relevant. This incident doesn't have to be directly orchestrated by the 6 fingers, but it doesn't connect back to anyone involved in the main plot then the whole thing is kind of pointless, especially when introducing an octopus that can induce evil cycles through stress and a teacher that raises and sells illegal magic creatures on the black market. Ultimately, this either has to be relevant to the main plot in some way, or it's disruptive for no reason (especially since no character development has occurred,) it'd basically a Chekov's gun that goes untouched, let alone unused.

Also mad respect for an interesting and short arc that really makes this guy as a real contender for the demon lord position not just narssist or comicly evil guy. He listen to people and asks for help. And shows results. If anything atm much more worthy of the title than Iruma atm!

Makes me excited for Iruma growth to be better than this competent guy!

Yes!!! First we got Iruma chatting on the phone with the other candidate, and here Leiji shows why he's so admired!!

The character development of interesting individuals throughout the manga has been one of its best points!! So many characters to make the world colourful!
