Derkila going to earth and falling in love with a human is probably a plausible scenario at least. It would provide a motive for Sullivan to buy/bought/bring Iruma to the demon realm whilst keeping his identity a secret. It wouldn't be out of the question for Derkila in his pursuit of freedom and sinning to stay in the human realm rather than fulfill a demon lord's "duties".

Iruma's prophecy: It is unlikely Iruma will become god,

but he is likely the "outsider" who will become a demon lord in a prophecy that Sabrock read a long long time ago. Along with Asmodeus's own instincts predicting such an outcome.

Speculation on my end: Derkila is very much alive and probably watching this whole ordeal in real time.

In fact, he is probably closer to the characters than the typical reader realizes - (as Derkila is Alikred spelled backwards in Japanese). His seal was also discovered by the "evil" devils after an encounter with Iruma. How much Sullivan knows is unknown. But he provided the magic power to the ring since the start without hesitation nor investigations. Alikred also attains more power the higher rank Iruma goes. Perhaps all of this is simply a game to Derkila in his boredom. By bringing a feeble, weak human ("food") into the demon realm and making one become the demon lord to throw the entire strength-based social structure into disarray. It is likely Sullivan recognizes the similarity between Iruma and Derkila, introducing compassion, romance, and friendship into the the demon realm that is/was a treasure one can only innately understand when experienced - truly an priceless immaterial treasure.

All that abuse was just training for iruma for him to become a demon lord and iruma "grampa" well- IS a grampa but doing a big ol for the old demon lord- like iruma should've died day on in the demon world, buuuut ol grampa is looking after him

I wouldn't say that he was Iruma's dad but more like just some distant ancestor, as Im pretty sure that the demon king has been missing for like hundreds of years by the time the story takes place

I don't think we've really seen enough of the human world outside of Iruma's flashbacks to make any sort of call on where he might be hiding unless it's connected to one of the memories Iruma has already told. I think the only significant people we know of in Iruma's past are his parents and the mangaka he worked for.

While I could see that happen, and I understand the logic, I would hate if it were real. Revealing that Delkira was one of Iruma's criminally neglectful parents and trying to justify it would send a horrible message and completely ruin Delkira's character.


Iruma and co are going to the human realm aren't they! So fun, will they find more traces of Delkira? Also go Jazz! Get your revenge!

I think the only significant people we know of in Iruma's past are his parents and the mangaka he worked for.

My issue if he is not connected to Iruma. It would mean the guy just abandon post leaving everyone hanging on a "prophecy" pulled out of his hat.

It would make sense if he had to leave his place and help shape Iruma and him being missing is part of shaping Iruma to be the leader.

As again it would be a poor showing of the lord who "modernised" the demon relam.
