One thing I like, is how it shows Iruma's actual power progression. Yea he has the ring and what not, but his skills are his.
Remember, he pierced the most powerful barrier just through sheer force of his own will. Not overwhelming power, but just because he wanted to.

This I think is overlooked a lot for the funny or the cool things going on, but he really is growing as a character.

Realistically, Iruma should not be good enough to stop a demon that Ameri could not.
So maybe he will just be able to stall him until someone stronger arrives.

But I have no doubt it will be EPIC either way.

Also, HOW did he catch up to him? Cause he should not be faster than Malius

If you're talking about the barrier at the school festival, that was because of overwhelming power not sheer force of will. He has his grandfather's magic along with the spell his grandfather taught him. It's not until Iruma started learning Archery that he started gaining skills that could be considered "his own".

He's likely talking about Iruma's Scala exam, when faced with another member of the Ami clan, Iruma was able to focus enough on his intention to attack the demon, he pierced the barrier without needing to use all his magic. His drive, his intention is what allows his archery to be so deadly.

At this point I’m thinking that Demonkind was sealed off from the human world primarily to avoid obsession. It’s not just that we smell good. I don’t think they just liked to “eat” humans. My guess is that’s the cover story now. That the truth is it’s embarassingly easy for the right humans to get Demons FIXATED. Sometimes negatively, sure. Like Demons just wanna do bad stuff to one. But they wanna do that to the exclusion of anything else going on. Hell’s reputation as a wasteland may have been in part just because it was probably falling apart when everybody was just all about trying to get something going on in the mortal realm. An entire population of addicts who needed to be cut off. Demons are prone to obsession to begin with so Iruma’s not raising as many red flags as he’d be otherwise, some Demons are charasmatic enough to inspire lots of followers / rivals. But they are like strong coffee and “Harem-King” Iruma like speed.

It’s why some of the people who know are treating Iruma like such a huge threat. Maybe they aren’t overreacting as much as it first seems.
