For how he caught up... I mean, malius had to get past all the people trying to stop him. He couldn't take an optimal route. He got held in place for a while by ameri and his brother and his ex-girlfriend. While Iruma could go to his destination largely unopposed.

They also started in different places, so Iruma might have just been closer to the door

Cool Iruma is really nice.....hoooowever, knowing the epic panels nishi is capable to draw, I was expecting the shot to be a bit more...impactful. Anyone remember how great was 'my arrows never miss' line on the heartbreaker arc? Wasn't expecting something so big..but well...

It's unconfirmed for now, but with how things are going, it seems the older students/siblings are with the Six Fingers, and unfortunately I'm 99% sure he'll escape like with Kiriwo after all this.

its still him. He’s not controlled or brainwashed. Just more assertive while still being a kind kid who’s willing to help out. Plus, like last time, he likely asked to go dark (unlike the first time) but here (unlike the idol festival) it was fueled by his own negativity and hatred. That’s new for him and I’m excited to see how it plays out.

Don’t forget that the dude has all the power of his grandpa stored in that ring. He can do at least 1 god tier attack but even his weaker attacks were still able to break a rank 8s barrier. He’s strong. Crazy strong. And while his fighting style would probably struggle against Ameri, I’m not sure if he’s necessarily weaker than she is. Plus, this is the first time in a long time that he has gone dark mode. His emotions are in control right now, which means his attacks are likely to be even stronger and more malicious.

If this was some kinda tournament arc, both at their peak, sure. But this guy ain’t fresh. He’s gone a few rounds with several people who put whammys on him, and he’s had to run and fight mooks. Plus, Iruma has different win goals here; he only has to run the clock since anybody who catches up is gonna be on his side. Malius is not in a good spot. Can he get away, absolutely. But he’d LOSE. He’s in this to win but to do that, he’s gotta have a fight on a time limit that he’s not in a great place for, against a guy who he already cashed in his speech check cards with. Dudes probably feeling a little pressure.

How much I love this manga, whether it's songs, shows, fights, etc., it manages to convey an impressive energy! 400 chapters and more, full of frame-worthy scenes and wonderful characters.
