i want to see the conversation between Ali and Sullivan, they might know each other
Just maaaaaybe 😂
The main story plot is about to advance. I'm excited for the next arc.
Well, everything has somehow turned out to relate to the main plot.
He has to become worthy to be king, not just gain the title.
Everything has worked to establish him as becoming a strong, capable leader with loyal followers.
I pull from Biblical sources now, because there is a lot of Jewish influence in this series*:
Iruma is basically the Messiah. The one born to be king, but not knowing. Has a prophecy and all.
If we look at the stories of the Israelite kings (or more realistic stories), fast rises to power often lead to fast falls from grace.
Saul was made king, but didn't have the qualities to maintain his reign, and ended up losing the mandate of heaven, and falling apart in a very short time.
David was then given the mandate, but had to work his way up from a musician and soldier, building up followers (and partners. Azz better not go the way of Jonathan or I'm going to Japan to give her a piece of my mind!) and achievements. Only then was he able to establish an empire.
Every arc that wasn't a few chapters on a side character furthers his growth as a person and leader.
Even the Keroli arc established that he
likes dressing like that. Someday he'll be outed as Irumi, and there will be worries about him losing face, but it'll turn out to bolster his popularity.
TV appearances and all.
*Nishi is a convert, or somehow still in the process despite being really knowledgeable and into it. You don't find out that much real Judaism, which is the stuff I see here. Rituals, items, themes. Beliefs are far from the
If you know, you know. Kiddush cups, bar mitzvah, Many-Ears (that's a very blatant and TBH kinda cringe arc. Free Palestine. At least they actually went to an empty place, and didn't colonise in the manga), the villains are fascists with armbands... I could go on for hours. I have in the past.
