Biggest part of getting people attention, is being in the right place at the right time.

For example, barely anyone would give a fuck if You were talking about Omori, Homestuck or Shakugan no Shana…【These ships have sailed】…or if You were saying it on a forum/board with 5,000 visitors over a comment thread with around 5 to 50.

Personally, I favor the idea that in a case where there are multiple sapient individuals of different species, they would all be classified as persons. It's just a stylistic element in this case, though.

There's also a translation issue.

I'm not saying that anyone has made any mistakes, I'm just saying it's always an issue.

人 doesn't map directly to person, but does imply humanoid shape, just due to the history of East Asian languages, and this being derived from a drawing of a person, and linked with other characters to make many other words.

There are other words in Japanese that in English would or could be translated to "person" but are specific enough that it would be 3 words in English.
"Japanese person" isn't as specific as 日本人 or ,日系人 (Japanese citizen, ethnically Japanese).

There's a whole lot of linguistic stuff going on when you are translating really common terms.

And most people that go to planned parenthood are there for STD tests, vaccinations, hormone imbalances, and even fertility support.
