I feel like they needed a few more progenitors to make cameos while they were at it. Why not someone from Purson Soi's family to make sure there's soothing music? What about Ronove's family to make sure the baby is healthy by looking at him? Oh! We need someone from Comecome's family to make sure the baby has some bling her first few moments into the world

This twist is incredibly banal, but the arc and characters are so sympathetically and interestingly written that it feels like a deeply sad moment rather than a cliche. I also love that we got a whole bunch of cameos during this, which was also pretty warm.

Demons have free access to the human world, so her father could very well have collected this for her, knowing she was half-human. At least in theory.

I agree... In fact, if I remember right, Ameri had already claimed that the Manga collection was handed down through generations...

Of course, this could've simply been something that her Father had told her, but then it doesn't explain how or when he got his hands on them, considering how it's treated as illegal to go to the Human World.

Hopefully we get an answer.

Well, looking at the last page, there's puffs near Merize's face that suggest labored breathing and shading on her forehead that's typically used when a character is very ill. To me, she looks more like she's suffering, but not yet dead.

If that's the case, my guess is that the demons can't figure out how to treat her and they have send her back to the human world (likely with the interim demon lord) to get her the help she needs.

I could just be coping hard tho.
