It would be interesting if Clara became Alice's enemy. But it's more likely that she becomes Iruma's ally to save Alice from Opera and company (Kalego, the rest of Babel, Ameri if she finds out). The "we are the love trio" scene could also be referenced in that situation. Then the soulmates scene when they are together again.

I think I am the only one here who actually doesn't like the fact that he shot Iruma. Idk. This doesn't feel like something Asmodeus would ever do, even in an alternative universe.

That's the beauty of AU (whether official or fan made): putting these characters in situations they would never be in before, because they were given another backstory and exist in another context. And even a fan may recognize them, bc they don't feel OC.

Yes, Azz would never do that. But Alice is scarred by the pain of losing his mother, having his family name shattered and forcibly raised by Eito to always seek "justice" make him someone different from his demon counterpart. And yet, he chose to protect Iruma even by hurt him.

Each character looks like their demonic counterpart, but they also have some new features marked by this new universe. That way you can make a fresh story with a familiar feel.

Mafia Iruma didn't spend his childhood in constant danger so he doesn't have Absolute Defense that he has in the main series.
He's a loved and coddled little grandson in this series.

This chapter really sets the ground about how different it is compared to the original series, OG Iruma would never pull a gun on someone especially after making them believe he is harmless, second, In the original series, NO ONE WOULD EVER GET SHOT. Absolutely NO ONE, not even the most minor character and I am absolutely thrilled about where the series would go from here.

Here's the thing:

The only ones that actually know what happened there are Iruma, Alice, and Ifrit. Opera only got there after Alice and Ifrit left, so they're in the dark on everything besides the aftermath.

My guess is that once Alice is finally freed of Ifrit's control (who's lying through their teeth to save their smuggling ring), the truth of what happened and Alice's identity is going to be a secret that stays between them and Iruma, with Iruma making a cover story for why he was shot.

It would be a cool twist on the main series where instead of the big secret is Iruma being a human, it's Alice being a detective, even if he may be cutting ties soon.

No they did. The Author is just respecting that guns are impossible to dodge. Up until now we've only seen wild fire in chase scenes or the actual guns aren't in use. This is our first actual aimed shot.
