Damn, the way Alice showed his loyalty was Metal as Fuck but was also the only way for him to prove his loyalty in this kind of setting without pulling a Naruto and using talk no jitsu. Plus the nod towards the main story universe was such a pleasant add-on that I just couldn't stop smiling!

Also slight side note: since Alice's mom disappeared, I wonder if she ended up having to go and sell herself, like a prostitute or something? I mean, it'll be a bit of a connection to her main story counterpart, you know with how she was in the main story and all.

This series man... this series does not have the right to go so hard... Hiroja-sensei clearly has a LOT of love for the original series, spin-offs like this normally are just easy little "cashgrabs" to have some fun with the characters, the worst of them normally are just uninteresting, rarely do you see one that really insults the story, but those that turn like this one here?

Those are perfectly cut gems... perfectly reimagining the setting, putting each character in "new" positions that bring "new" sides to them but at the same time keeping the core aspects they have in og series is something that can only be done in two ways... or the author keeps their hands close to the spin-off, or the person writing the new story has a deep love and understanding of what made the original special.

We got a glimpse of her a few chapters back... considering she was dealing with a very high-caliber info broker, I doubt she became a prostitute... or a low-end prostitute at least.

Before that, they said she died, was killed(?), which I knew was BS... Amu-chan-sama is too awesome to die in any verse.

I've already liked this spinoff series, but this chapter cemented my love for it, not many times do you get a spinoff that's just as good and interesting as its main series.
