Are you saying there is also an oniichan and imouto in the picture? That's even more harem fodder. Damn you, animanga tropes

I still can't tell if I like this mango or not.
The characters all suffer from some sort of personality-dissonance disorder, they don't feel like actual people, but one 4koma joke after another. And on top of it all, is this fascination and obsession with gender-bender that's written to fit into a medieval play, in which the "woman" can only be courted, and do nothing but be courted. There's little to no depth to it all, it's just a bunch of retard children trying to take possession of the girl they like.

But, the jokes are more funny than not, even with the weird "I'm a boy!" "No you're not! *slap*" pseudo-humor. So it's kinda in this weird limbo of being a good read, while also being insufferable.
The last time I experienced that, was while reading "UQ Holder!", which ended up being just insufferable.

The dialogue and characterization is so bad but I'm curious because I got spoiled for the future chapters. Gotta endure it...

With the manga wrapped up, I wanted to re-read the early chaps -- but ended up getting irked with it, yet also still kind-of-liking it....And here it is, a comment I wrote 5 years ago, reflecting just that.

It's nice to see that after a certain age, your taste doesn't change much.

I'd just add that: it's extremely off putting how the gender-bended-boy, is acting and THINKING like a hetero girl, which makes the "I'm a boy!" jokes fall really flat.
It's also bizarre that lizard-guy fell in love with the "girl".
I really have no idea wtf the author was going for.
