That sentient plant looks horrific compared to the beautiful floral patterns we're used to. Mode pointed out the parallel between Shien and this new witch. I don't know what their connection is on a personal level, maybe rivals? But I did notice they both cultivate plants in their rooms, but the intent couldn't be more diametrically opposed. Shien's greenery heals; the new witch's seems geared toward purging pests, treating life as something to be managed rather than nurtured. The art backs it up, too. Shien's space radiates a soothing, cathartic energy, whereas the new witch's room feels jagged and chaotic. It's an nice visual for how they wield similar power for seemingly different ends.
