the manga came out in 2022 and its a light novel adaptation so not really that surprising

The rom-com otaku protag is repeatedly having the misfortune to involve himself with the losing party of love triangles. The girl in question is the first one, and has a debt with him because when her triangle blew up he was in the vicinity and had to pay up her confort eating and endure her ranting. Now she's paying up the hefty sum with homemade bentos.

I'm wondering if there was a better metaphor instead of a torpedo tripping landmines. Because well, torpedoes travel underwater, so they can't possibly set off a landmine. Perhaps "a bull in a china shop" would make more sense? Or, "an elephant in a minefield"?
