This is pretty good "soft" ending before going on Planned Hiatus because of bad old publisher problem.
Like, it's really pretty well done even if it's just acting as "big break before long hiatus".
If anything, should something wrong happen and it ended for real this could still be soft landing than just end out of nowhere.
That being said, wish the author a good luck on clearing stuff behind the scene.
