So wait, does that mean that the flag of being stuck in the storage room was triggered by Takabi since Eguchi didn't go? Does this mean that Kimura is starting to develop MC energy/luck? Or was this triggered by Takabi's FMC energy/luck? Food for thought...

well the thing is Kimura has always been the MC.

But the thing is Kimura, due to being the MC, is blind to the fact that the flags are for himself, and not Eguchi.

And so the thing is a gigantic joke about how Kimura is still very much following all of the tropes of romcom MCs, but because he doesn't realize he's the actual MC, he can see all of them, but is misapplying them continuously.

And the final thing is all three of the others are his heroines, and he is pulling them all like a good romcom MC should--simply unbeknownst to him. So hopefully we see a proper bisexual harem at the end with all four, if the author's not a coward.

I like this manga, but anyone else find the art really rough?

It doesn't help that the Oneshot is also drawn 1,000x better

Frankly, art is a purely speculative in value and said value is determined by the viewer(s).
IMO, I can agree that Kawashima was prettier and far more detailed in the one-shot... while Takabi wasn't as detailed as what we see now. If the one-shot style had been kept, it may very easily detract from the original premise of Kawashima being the "losing heroine".
- An editor or reader may start asking question about why make the "losing heroine" that much better drawn than the supposed "winning" heroine?
But realistically, I imagine there is a time constraint in a serialized manga.
The mangaka has to do a trade-off in sharpened details on 1 character vs. balancing out the rest of the cast... As drawing by hand take up a lot of time.

Lol, was that captioning on the bottom "As many times as it takes for that smile." on the last page added? Almost as if Takabi should win just because.
I admit Takabi has all the makings of a tsundere female lead... but has anyone else noticed she only has dere for Kimura? Objectively, she actually has better far better chemistry/connection with Kimura than any other pairings at the moment...
And IMO, our guy should just go for her already before he steps on the yaoi landmine Kawashima has created.
