it's sort of amusing and I see many people really like it, but I can't help feeling the original setup was more interesting
by now Kimura is everything that Ei-kun originally was in the setting with all the dumb events and such, and the seemingly only dynamic remaining to the cast is to revolve around him. Thus the only novel take on the genre clichés anymore is that the characters are more confused than a homeless man on a house arrest
there's only so far that can go before grating (at least on me), but let's see
