For a bunch of the folks who keep insisting there are no laws against it, here's the Wikipedia overview on the legality of fictional pornographic works portraying minors:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_status_of_fictional_pornography_depicting_minors
This wiki is thrown around a lot but most of the info in it is false. Wikipedia's co-owner is a notorious anti who consistently tries to make the anime/manga industry look as bad as possible. It reached the point where the FBI even stepped in and told him to knock it off because of how much false info it was spreading about laws.

Lolisho content is technically illegal in about 11 countries. I specify technically because the only nations that actively enforce this are the UK and Australia. In most cases its more like Canada where its not illegal to own but its a legal grey area if you import it. France says this content is illegal but actively make it themselves with series like Wakfu, Dofus, Totally Spies, and Code Lyoko.

Stop the misinformation. Titles being removed depict sexual activity between characters that are minors, either in appearance (handled on a case-by-case basis) or confirmed in the dialogue. It's about law and compliance with it. If you jerk it off to little kids, go and do it elsewhere; there are sites that specialise in that.
Wouldn't that be like 80% of the site? lol. along with almost 90% of josei stuff. Great Job!!! :questionblob:

Website was good while it lasted. Don't be sad because it ended, be happy because it existed.

The only misinformation here is coming from you. There is no law dictating you must delete said content and if there were perhaps you should move your host out of the third world shit hole you're currently in.

Also what the fuck is up with your attitude? You're supposed to be staff and an admin? You act like some puritanical normie trying to entirely sanitize Mangadex for some sale or IPO. This comment alone should have you removed from this site permanently.

Sometimes public actions are taken due to policy changes before we've had the chance to completely communicate the changes. While this could be improved to some degree, some matters can put the site's longevity at risk, so it should be somewhat understandable that some titles disappeared before we've had the chance to work out how to word an extra rule or support channel reply. We're not intentionally trying to keep people in the dark about this.

I also believe it's pointless to debate the existance of tags, personal staff opinions, or morality of the content. We just can't have it on the site going forward, it is what it is. It'll be gradually removed as mods get notified, no one's getting retroactively mod-actioned over it, just don't add it anymore.
Why is it so fucking hard to just not host where these """threats""" exist? Stop killing your site because you're all too cowardly to make some hard decisions that actually benefit your user base.
