I don't know the context to the second image, but I assume this chapter came out over a month ago, so any controversy within the past 30-ish days was just poor timing for the artist and author. That first image was probably drawn up at least half a month before this chapter was released in Japan.

...I didn't say the mangaka took inspiration from it.

That said, the manga chapter was released a few days ago. You can see for yourself on the "Official Raw" link on the manga page. I'm not saying there's any connection, it's merely a coincidence.

As for who the guy is and what the context is: That's Jordan Salinas, the just regular civilian with a suppressed Five-Seven shooting some piece of shit mass shooter outside an In-N-Out Burger at Twin Falls, Idaho back on August 1. And saving a lot of lives in the process.

how do they expect to get away with this? the merchant got that monopoly right from i'm guessing the king and it's now a well known fact that his daughter has been kidnapped, it will be so obvious that you were the ones who did it and he handed it over under duress, it would never hold up, this dude would just lose it all instantly
