Why, if all the monsters died, does the labyrinth require one to be at least a D rank?
OK, there are probably still traps and such.
Maybe it has to do with the difficulties involved in keeping track of where you are, etc., that those skills are generally inadequate amongst those below D rank; you wouldn't want to allow someone who has no clue about mapping, etc., into a labyrinth; they'd never find their way out again.

@Weasalopes That, and they probably want to leave out some of the more unsavory types from just rushing in and hoarding. Might serve as a filter of guarantee, of sorts

There's also how they still apparently aren't sure why all the monsters even died (the mushroom thing may have just been a comical possibility). Whatever could have finished off all those monsters is surely dangerous to humans as well if they're not careful.
