@khan489 it's possible that the game "balanced" all the weapons - after all, a German Gewehr 98 would probably not fare very well against an M16, yeah? So if the "system" buffed the weapon's damage and accuracy to make up for its age, it could be a pretty good choice, all told

I think its supposed to say "if" instead of "unless" on page 15, "it can't eat me if it turns me into mince meat!" instead of "it can't eat me unless it turns me into mince meat!"

@TehSDragon, while that might be the case, the fact that it is a bolt action weapon and fighting at short to mid range is quite dumb. I'm guessing there are other sniper rifles with similar damage output with semi-auto capability, such is the norm for FPS games.

And the "pay forward" mentality comment. Goddamn it.

If you really care about paying forward, then plan your loadout FFS!!

How does he play the FPS game? Is he trying to score 360 no-scope challenge?

@deathshadow47 I agree, but at the same time, have you seen some pro FPS players and what they do with marksman rifles in mid range? Legit some of them loadout with sniper/marksman and go to town

@TehSDragon, yeah true, some pro FPS players do dominate with marksman rifles, but they also know when and how to use them. Usually, they will pair it with perks/gears which enables them to unleash the potential. Sadly, this MC didn't do that full loadout plan. That's the gripe. Bolt action rifle and not even with a scope. At least an ACOG scope is ok enough. Although, in some games, iron sight yields an advantage in a slightly faster draw speed.

Thankfully, the series does have a certain amount of character development, where it shows the MC is just being naive. It also shows the price of that naivete. But he is also stupid in that regard though. You encounter something that is referred to as "lord of the skies" and still think to conserve CP. That's like suddenly encountering a tank with infantry-based loadout and still insist on defeating the tank with said loadout when he can spawn weapons.

Ok. Rant over. The MC actions really infuriate me as it reminds me of the times when I go into public game lobbies with feeders and frustrating teammates

Yeah no way a 7.7x58 gonna do anything to that big thing, there's a reason why hunter who hunt big game like bears and elephant use big game rifle that uses .700 nitro express and don't use rifle or caliber that meant for human like .308 or 7.62. A 35 to 50cal self-loading is a way better option for this kind of situation like a M82 Barrett incase that the bird have fantasy dragon armor scale or some shit like that
