Oh man i really am enjoying this story!!! Im always nervous when i see the harem label because half of the time its soooooo underwhelming plot wise but i'm glad i gave it a shot

Instead of talking she should make sure the hero stays down. If he's definitely and permanently dead she's wasting time, and if he isn't then should take him out before uses some OP skill or some Hero ability or item and recovers.

If really want to be practical would strip everything off him so wouldn't have any buffs from the special Hero gear or recover/escape using a special one use item like an elixir or equivalent of WoWarcraft's Hearthstone. Remove his hands and eyes so can't cast or aim spells (tongue too if want to be thorough even if merciless,) one leg so can't escape, and multiple cursed items that weaken him prevent usage of magic, won't interfere with each other, and really hard to take off. That way he can't fight or cause trouble and since alive the hero attribute or whatever he possesses that makes him a hero won't be passed to someone else due to dying preventing another hero from being chosen and rising up. After all, divine blessed heroes chosen by a higher power appear one at a time to provide a means to defeat the demon lord while minimizing the number of OP people running around afterwards.

@Logic while the guy does kind of deserve to die, it would actually be more ignorant to kill him. Letting the commander live means that they can push the enemy to retreat (something that was absolutely necessary with the numbers involved.) Not only is forcing the enemy to retreat the best outcome for Ike's goals, but it also can aid in breaking down enemy moral and cut down on ally casualties. Further, while killing the enemy commander can create confusion in enemy ranks, with an army that large you are more likely to get the opposite reaction with an even more fierce army fueled by revenge and/or glory seekers looking to take the commander's position. Killing the opponent isn't always the optimal solution in war.
