Oh no, the problem we could have completely avoided if we just used the orb to send the emergency message when we first noticed the attack instead of waiting like idiots for absolutely no reason beyond stupid pride happened.

@feha
I assume it's the chief talking to the son about why he took so long to take action, coming to the conclusion that he's part of the problem
The robe of the birdman speaking is that of the son. I think this is a problem of the chapter being broken up. The last line in ch 65.1 was also by the son. So the full dialogue is this.

ch65.1: (last page)
...Father has become feeble in his old age.
ch65.2 (first page)
that's why he took so long.

Although this doesn't clear up that much, but I think he is saying that his father took so long to realize the coup/betrayal because he is weak minded.

People don't remember 2 chapters back, since this is a flashback now. The girls think they can't use the transmitters because they broken. But the fact that they broke means they've already been used, because breaking them sends an immediate distress signal (which is what was received at the end of two chapters ago before we dove into the flashback). I wouldn't be surprised if they were rigged in some way to automatically break it they were in trouble, which could be why they broke so easily only from falling.

So just to clarify.

Her friend didn't actually say they can't send message,

The more literal translation would be:
Friend said 'that just now' (the arrow) broke the stone.
Nell ask back 'which, red or white?'
Friend answer with "both"

But obviously as we saw on Yuuki's side the orb turned red so just breaking the thing seem to send an alert just fine.

I wonder how far this town/city is away from other towns/cities. I mean, I doubt bird folk have traditional habits of lighting up fireworks. If anything other cities would be more concerned that some hero lightshow in the middle of non-human territory.

Chapter 63.2, page 8 to 11.
You mean 4 partial chapters back, released 3 months ago... The tournament BS dropped most readers care level for this manga to rock bottom, and the last few 10 page semi-nonsense didn't built it back yet.

The author uses lazy writing, and it doesn't help, that the mangaka (to put it mildly) does not excel in drawing action scenes.

Wait, so Leyla also has the orbs? I understood it back then as the orb that was gonna recieve Nell's orbs. So in this case, the one needing emergency was actually Leyla and not Nell? :wtf:

Thanks for the TL ❤️

That's some lazy fucking writing right there, oh this small drop broke something given to you by a demon lord.
I believe in the novel he (Yuki) set up this moment by warning them they were fragile. I remember knowing they were going break after he gave them to her. I can't remember though if it was something he bought or a test item he made. In any case they were always doomed to break.
