Exactly what pricing are you looking at? Only $5 I know of is for the monthly subscription plan which lets you read ANY of the chapters currently available with a valid subscription, not just one chapter. Not to mention the chapter you're making the comment on is free for anyone to read (first chapter of each volume seems to be always free to read) and actually more than 12 pages (unless you think presenting individual pages side-by-side only counts as one page). While your indignation is noted, it seems a bit misplaced/uninformed.
