Kind of happy they sidestepped the trope of literally everyone in the protagonists orbit is a female in love with him...only most of them.

Nice!, now he needs a bit of magic to get rid of that huge ass scar, longer hair and a stylish cloak and MC got himself a Charles as a tank.

The madlad seriously walked out of the cave into the town to murder a guy then went to Zagan's castle all the while bleeding from his arm not being there. Also all these characters are a joke that I just keep laughing while reading. It seems I really like the defeat means friendship trope

@KairoWasTaken Hah, now that I think about it they do befriending every enemy they defeat. lol

Anyway, reminds me of Zetsuen no Tempest. If you wanna see something else with this troupe check that anime out. Its got tons of action, end of the world drama, battles to the death...but when the enemy's plan is foiled through the skin of their teeth in the most climactic and chaotic battle ever they just go "what now?" and tag along with the main characters to see if they've got a better plan since they ruined theirs. Everybody is just so chill that its actually kinda hilarious. I really love the fact that by the end of it there is no villain or hypocritical character that just makes you infuriated. Everybody has got a reason and nobody goes beyond that and does something stupid, every character is likeable no matter who they're trying to kill.
Anyway, this manga has somewhat got the same energy as that one...but they already killed a hypocrite cardinal so maybe it'll not follow that troupe so religiously.

Could we please get a character who loses a body part and is affected by it permanently? Robotic/metal prosthetics that function perfectly with no flaws whatsoever kind of makes the loss less impactful, and characters who still fight despite their disability are always a billion times cooler than ones that aren't affected by it at all. FMA seems like the outlier in that the prosthesis comes with drawbacks, Ed has to deal with pain on and on daily and and requires constant maintenance to keep it running and what have you. If anyone has any suggestions for fictional prosthetics that aren't just perfect replacements, I'd love to hear them.

The fact that it was the grandpa that made the tea and not Fol is quite the plot twist, also the "I will?" "You will" is just great.

@ArisenDresden
you also can't make a trend with a single data point, my dude

just saying if you don't like elves this may not be the series for you. but if you like nefi regardless, it's fine
