MC fears a corrective force from the original plot, but at the same time recognizes that if there is one it would have killed him in someway as he did make the story stray.
MC is not thinking very clearly for the mess he is in, overthinking details.
actually, he believes that there is a
force that will force the story to go in a certain way, but he is not entirely sure of that, and he doesn't know how powerful that
force is, what its range is, what it deems as "MUST BE CORRECTED" and what isn't.
In cases like this, I think it's understandable for him to scrutinize every details, because one small mistake can cost him a lot since this game seems pretty brutal (the first attacked wiped out the damn capital of a powerful country).
He never heard of the marquis in game, the dude possibly died in the stampede, or is just one of the surviving nobles that made the kingdom resist after it, but of course a normal game wouldn't describe every single detail of every single person that died in the stampede or helping characters that are never seen in the game.
you are not understanding the full picture here. MC is very confused about why certain things are obscured from his mind, and he only remembers them now.
He has lived in this world for 10+ years now, yet he doesn't have any memories of the very important royal family members (the Crown Prince & his son, and the first princess).
Also, MC is a pretty studious and knowledgeable person, as seen by first chapter where he recognized the foreigner who tried to kidnap the Hero and all the political implications of it, yet he doesn't recognize Marquis Kneipp (and from what I understand, Marquis are usually pretty big and important families) at all.
That's very strange and definitely has something to do with the game influencing his mind. And if he can't trust his mind & his memories, what else can he trust in this world? That's why he's worried/concerned about this.
If there is a corrective force is very weak or mostly acting on the hero actions.
Note even how MC interacted with the hero by saving him from being raped and kidnapped, is unlikely that a event like that would have been skipped in the game, MC should know about it, and until then he acted as a background character so is actions shouldnt have changed a event like that.
Not sure what you're saying here.
There is even the fact of the kingdom ignoring artifacts and dungeons, this is a case of the universe wa smade 5 minutes ago and the whole history until then didn't truly happen.
I wouldn't call it fact that they were ignoring the artifacts, they genuinely didn't know about them. Which honestly is very strange because why would a powerful country known for their military might not know or even bother to check up on the weapons right within it?
This can be explained if the
force exists: maybe the force obscured the mind of every characters in this world/country, making them oblivious to things so that the story will go in a certain way. And if we're assuming the
force exists and can do that, there are several concerning questions here:
1. What is its range? Does the
force control every single being in the world to work in a certain way so that the story can play out like in the game?
2. How strong is its power? Sure it can brainwash/mind control people into misremembering things, being oblivious to things. But can it control a person like a puppet, making them devoid of free will? If that the case, does it mean by remembering his past on Earth & recognizing the world is a game, MC is somehow out of the
force's control?
3. Or maybe it isn't that nefarious, it just works in a certain way to ensure the Hero won't stray from his path?
anw this whole force/control thing is fun to think about.
