This actually does raise the question of if Akiji (the fat guy) actually did anything horrid directly, or if instead he was just a hanger-oner who watched from the sides. If it is in fact that, rather than him actually being only second to Okaya in terms of evilness, maybe Maria will let him off easy. Like she doesn't kill him but only tortures him to teach him a lesson before letting him go. I could see it going either way: the lack of scenes showing him doing anything to Nagare so means he 1. only watched and didn't participate, or 2. did participate but the true depth of his evilness hasn't been revealed yet.

wouldn't be surprised if it was also "His family's rich/happens to know ringleader's family" versus being a 'worse' bully than the delinquent guy. (being part of a group and doing 'nothing' might be as bad as actively participating to ppl)

if not just recording everything or so (tho i wouldn't be surprised if he was killed off , just because, if not the parents of the ringleader. or even killing off her ex husband for not believing her)

I imagine that the mansion that Kinugawa found is going to be the spot of his death, and it'll probably be thematically connected too. Like maybe he did something terrible in there and his death will be a reflection of that, or maybe it's like his childhood play spot and Maria will use it to mindfuck him or something.

As for his phone, I imagine it's in one of three states:
1. At the police guy's house with the app enabled.
2. With Maria but has the app disabled.
3. With Maria but the app is enabled and Okaya and Akiji find them.

he did say 'we're finally reaping its benefits' so i imagine he's saying that because he got a ping/knows where it is, if maria didn't plant it on someone else or directly luring him to them

Yeah I didn't notice that until after I posted the message. I thought it was a young Kinugawa at first until I remembered he had the blonde hair in those kindergarten flashbacks.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kinugawa is known to hang out in weird random places like the middle of the woods at night, because dude legit looks and acts like he's off his meds all the time. Okaya probably took one look at his tracker early on and thought, "Ah, is Kinugawa chasing squirrels in the forest again? Must be a full moon tonight."

That's actually not a bad guess. Maybe Kinugawa will be confronted by Akihiro, since he was their target before Nagare, and he'll be involved with Kinugawa's torture and death alongside Maria. I see it possible even that maybe by the time Okaya and Ajiki make it to the mansion, Kinugawa will already be dead.

I didn't notice this before, but when Kinugawa broke into Taiichirou's apartment, he had his phone with him and was using it as a flashlight. During the fight, he actually threw the backpack his phone was attached to at Taiichirou, which means the phone is probably still there. It seems like my guess that it was still at the apartment was correct.

Okay having checked the chapter again, he actually picked up his backpack after he left the apartment, so the phone is in Maria’s camp, whether that be her or Yuta.
