I disagree about him lacking commitment - he likes the childhood friend, and is actively trying to get closer to her. He deliberately tried to tank dog girl's feelings for him for that very reason. I'd say that's pretty committed.

Also, why should he get with Sayuki just because he knows she likes him? Has there been any indication that the feeling is mutual? I don't understand the mentality some people have where you have to get with somebody just because you can - if you know you don't feel the same way they do, then it's just disrespectful in my opinion.

I'm saying that if somebody likes you to the extent that he knows Sayuki is, but he knows that it's one-sided, then dating her just to see if that maybe changes in the future is a dick move. Sure, spend more time together as friends and see if you develop feelings, but just immediately jumping into a relationship like you suggested, out of... what, just not wanting to be single? That's fucking moronic. Staying single until you find somebody you actually want to be with who feels the same way is perfectly fine and often the better choice, regardless of how unpopular that opinion seems to be.

Oh, he's not dumb at all. He thought they got along and they've been friends for a long time. He likes her and he thought that she kinda liked him back, but didn't know. Then he got the meter and became super confused because of what it looks like. Without the meter, he'd be aware of how she feels; often times his confusion is because she seems to be happy and having a good time, but the meter looks... fucked up and weird, so now he doesn't know. The joke is that the love meter can't handle her feelings, so it's confusing to him, not that he's dense and doesn't get it.

And that's exactly why he needs to STOP paying so much attention to that meter, it's the simple fact that she can get all happy or excited to be with him, but that meter won't convince him otherwise since he's too damn reliant on that meter and just put his common sense into a locked storage


Or, he can try actually talking to her and see how she actually feels about him, and this also goes for Marika as well, she's equally as dumb for always relying on magazines/manga instead of having a legit conversation with the guy

I... I mean, yeah, if you want to remove the main gag of the manga and why its made, he could pay no attention to the meters, but like... that's the entire joke. That he's trying to make her like him more, succeeding, but it doesn't look like it and he's confused because the meter has overflowed and looks insane because of it.

This series is the one that I've had the most fun typesetting (like out of any other series ive typeset for, this one is #1 by a mile), so it's a shame to see it go. This isn't ideal for us either because me and Undefined had to rush these past 2 chapters out the last 5 or so hours as of this post. Hence why the drop in quality in my typeset and lack of quality checking for the previous chapter.

I hope to see more and maybe hope in seeing you selling the manga because i will definetly be a buyer if that happaens
