it is the usual but is the hero stupid? unlike other series where the MC mostly do "invisible buff" but in this one, everyone else clearly know about the effect his skill has on the party, even worst is trying to challenge A-rank dungeon without even try to find a replacement healer.
In the vast majority of the Banishment stories the Hero is so full of himself that he thinks that all he has to do is kick out the one other guy in the party so "I can have all the bitches!" and that he's strong enough it won't matter. His skull is empty and he thinks with his pecker.

Occasionally you get one that is a little different, like S-Kyuu Boukensha ga Ayumu Michi: Tsuihou Sareta Shounen wa Shin no Nouryoku 'Buki Master' de Sekai Saikyou ni Itaru / The Path of an S-Class Adventurer: The Exiled Boy Becomes the World's Strongest With His True Ability, "Weapon Master". As is obvious from title this is based on a WN or LN.

It's kinda funny that he heard that the hero lied about his expulsion and was slandering him by saying he abandoned the party and just didn't do anything to fix it. Didn't go back to explain to the other two, or ask Aria to do it for him, instead, he just left the other two, who were extremely supportive and kind towards him, in the hands of the liar who would probably get them killed by making them run out of mana early on into a fight.
Yes, but on the other hand they didn't come to him to find out why. They're as stupid as he is for believing the Hero's lies. Only Aria seems smart enough and to care enough to ask any questions. Also if Ridiru and Mithea both think that this A-ranked dungeon is suicide in the current party configuration they should have refused to even go to the dungeon in the first place.

Allen/Alan has pressed the Fuck Around button and is now about to Find Out.

"Can't use magic" and "Injecting mana that repels dirt, turns back time, repairs the physical machines, repairs the magic circles, and fully charges any mana capacitor" in one move... and when she cast her spell "Injected mana of varying attributes to offset the power, opposite attributes, etc" - That's flipping magic. That's casting magic.

How can the premise be "I can only transfer mana, which I have unlimited of but still am not operating a giant factory providing food to thousands, but I can't use magic" and the very first thing is "I'm using magic and spells."?

I laughed out loud when I saw those “monsters get erased” panels, thanks to the faces. :dogkek:

The panel of the three dogs being obliterated is what truly sold me.
Those poor puppies!

Yeah but if the author could be bothered to take care of these details of the setup he probably could be bothered to write a less stupid premise than a guy that provides infinite mana to a party of mana hogs getting kicked out and the hero somehow not realizing how important it is when everybody else does.

Might be one of the stupidest "kicked out of party" plots i have seen.

Surprised only the hero is a scumbag. Even the other 2 girls know how important the MC is, kek.

Thanks for picking this series up

not enough of an edge to this. The banishment didn't have any energy so there isn't any real draw to the series n mc is as generic as comes i can't forsee this series being particularly interesting even for banishment standards

In some ways, it's kinda annoying and weird that they keep on trying to make the hero a d***....

It's just that I like that only the hero is the d***.... hope the girls join the MC's harem....

And I really hope they don't get too into drama...

If someone here is interested in a story about a character that is responsible for supplying Mana, I can recommend the Darksword series trilogy by Margaret Weis.
Magic Porter is exactly the same character class concept as Catalyst in these books, but without isekai cliches and modern tropes. Just a good classic fantasy story from the dungeon and dragon golden era.

another exiled story that was done because of the hero jelously, it has been a while since i've seen this trope/cliche being used in a good way

It’s a parody.

I don't get how this particular banishment setup even worked. Why where they in a field in the middle of no-where, without half their party? So the boys said something like "we're going for a piss", they went off and did that, he kicked him out, and he did not even have to go back to the rest of the party to get his remaining stuff or say goodbye? Him not questioning it or encountering the rest of the party for verification is harder to believe than usual, and given all the girls simp for him, I don't get why they didn't all join the saint in the search for him.
Because they didn’t know and the saint didn’t want the competition.
