A bit is a fucking understatement and a halfThe author dragged things a bit and the outcome was quite obvious, but still

The author literally had Yakumo vote for Ren just so that we could see the utter moral and psychological defeat that was Bell voting for Kyouka

at least fairy tail's plot have so much content to talk about. This title doesn't have that. Characters is a lot fewer than fairy tail and yet the story doesn't have many dynamics between them. Development is slow. and to make it worse, the main original team or char (like team uzen and his sister) got sidelined too long and the characters' personality in conveying their opinion feels weirdly similarIncredibly predictable. The pacing of this manga is really weird. Like, things are either stretched out longer than what it should be, or stuff involving major plot points just happens too quickly (Kyouka killing one horn and the stuff with Yuuki's sister most notably). Also, it feels like stuff isn't, Idk, serious enough? Like, there's not much at stake 'cause everything just works out. As I've mentioned before, I suspect the mangaka doesn't want to repeat what he did with akame ga kill and copy the tone of that series but so far this just feels a bit too lighthearted (for lack of a more apt word) in relation to the plot.
Eta: the best example I can think of for comparison in regards to things not seeming serious is Fairy Tail. The good guys in that series ALWAYS won no matter what. Big bad guy uses some super strong attack, but the good guys win anyways 'cause plot. It just makes things feel rather contrived. I like this series, I just want more from it.
he getting all the cuddles tonight.
as many others... called it, buuut even if it got stretched, the faces man, sooome good friggin food right there.>Kyouka must win. I need to see Ren absolutely lose her shit.
