If you all recall, Ren was literally brought up to be overconfident

They raised her while telling her she was the best ever. That she was humanity's saviour. So in a way it's not surprising she's overconfident and arrogant.

... Until the day Yuuki actually saves her again. Or we have another reward. Or both.

I DO wonder if she will ever be seriously interested in him though.... that would be hilarious.
