There are people in the room who would very much, from a moral standpoint, not like what they do... but will they take Kyoka's side? That is more complicated.
Ooh this is something interesting to talk about. With the previous chapter establishing the rules.

We can assume that the two none MDF voters will go to Ren. (the Onmyou agency, Tobera, and Konomi'S granma do not get a vote)

The 1st Chief (Konomi), (iirc) respects Kyouka as a fellow disciple to her grandmother. There's a good chance she would vote for Kyouka.

The 2nd Chief (Mira) is more justice oriented and seems to like Kyouka more than Ren. So assuming she also doesn't view the onmyou agency as important, then she's most likely voting for Kyouka.

The 3rd Chief (Bell) is Ren's friend/toy so she's likely going to vote for Ren. (Though she could grow a backbone during this event and vote against her.)

The 4th Chief is ... not revealed yet, and probably doesn't have voting powers

The 5th Chief (Yakumo) is pretty much a wild card. So no idea how she's gonna vote.

The 6th (Tenka) Chief is best girl and obviously votes for Kyouka.

The 7th Chief is Kyouka

The 8th Chief (Varvara) is a Kyouka-con, nuff said.

The 9th Chief's (Fubuki) family has close relations with the 6th and 7th Chief, there's a good chance she's gonna side with Kyouka.

The 10th Chief is Ren.

So that tallies to Ren: 4, Kyouka: 7 with 1 wild card

So at a glance Kyouka would win this election. Of course that depends on each chief's reaction to Tenka's revelation.

And even then Ren is probably gonna go apeshit and outright cancel the election or something.

Tenka says that Ren would "win by a landslide" without the human-Shuuki hybrids reveal - which suggests that they believe that outside of Kyouka and Tenka themselves, few other Chiefs are likely to vote for Kyouka.

Konomi respects Kyouka but she's the youngest and may not want to rock the boat.

A recent chapter showed Mira's unexpectedly close to Ren, but her previous interactions also indicated she has a desire to be Commander herself.

There is no Fourth chief.

Varvara probably is a vote they will count on but it still isn't enough to tip any scales.

Fubuki does have connections to Kyouka, but that may not mean anything, or at least they're apparently not strong enough to be relied on.

Potentially seven or eight votes in their favour to potentially four or five against was clearly not on the cards, if she'd said "it may be a close thing" it might be different.

This really is an all-or-nothing gamble.

The 4th chief doesn’t exist due to the fact that four in Japanese is similar to the word death and therefore is bad luck

Not gonna lie, I didn't expect a counterattack like this from Kyouka and Tenka, and now I'm hooked. Although, if I think about it, it makes sense. After all, if it's discovered that the head chief knew about this and potentially collaborated with this, then the other chiefs can oppose and opt for Kyouka instead since it was revealed that the chiefs votes carry weight as well. After all, Ren would have a difficult time if she can't gain the support of the other chiefs. That said, this can instantly go back for Kyouka if they can't provide evidence.

The two Shuki girls? Way back, If I remember right, one of them has the ability to phase through things and so she was able to escape the Onmyou agency, and she was able to save plenty of others like her with her power.
think they meant when were they set free from the thunder god that ate them... and that was a long time ago when that thunder god was defeated

Feels like a Tenka death flag. Suddenly trying to clear potential regrets.
I don't think anyone is going to die for real in this manga. Remember even the villains that "died" are still "alive" in the MC's soul or something like that.
If the manga does not have the courage to kill the bad guys, it for sure isn't going to kill Tenka.

God I love Tenka sm 😭. But the big sexy time moment w her will be when she uses Yuuki in slave form. I pray the design will be a masterpiece.

Something tells me Ren is fully aware of the Onmyou agency’s antics and has no interest in addressing them or supports their efforts. Why is she threatened by Tenka even going off to say she’s raising her blade. If this isn’t the case nonetheless this may become a bigger mess for Kyouka and Tenka knowing full well onmyou will be in their asses

One step closer from Ren turning into the villain she's always been. Commented it more than a year ago, but now she's actually showing the ambition of being the commander forever and, by extension, Mato's ruler. There is no way she's staying on the "good side" afterwards. Others don't want to cooperate with the gods of thunder, she'll just join them and strike a deal with them instead.

The BIG, final push could be the shock of Bell voting against her.

Anyone imagining he'd lose his virginity to anyone but Kyouka is in serious denial about who the main female love interest is.
While i do acknowledge your point, a shit ton of the rewards have been extremely close to if not actually sex.

A good analysis, I even agree with it... but the thing is, that even if we see them as friends, they all are professionals that have expectations for their positions.

Sure Varvara is completely obvious card in this, but even Bell now may have opinions about how things need to be lead.

Yakumo by herself is really a wild card, but I wouldn't put past her to prefer to keep things stable.

Fubuki may be more of a moderate compared to her mother and even she wants the seat of commander, but as a captain, she WILL think of what is best for the corp, and she does believe in strength.

Truth be told, I think Kyouka and Tenka's plan of revealing things now IS their best bet, but... my worry is how much all of them really value the difference between moral and absolute strength.

They are an organization that needs the power to fight monsters, now more than ever, and depending on how the internal balance goes... revealing or not what the Onmyou agency did.

That bombshell they dropped at the end made up for the action that didn't happen in the first half.

The fact that they've only been extremely close to but never crossed is a bigger hint that it's a lot more important of a scene than random interstitial plot moment allows.

I actually want to see Tenka, Kyouka vs Ren. It will be interesting to see who will side with Ren when all the the truth comes out.
